common room poets: May 2010

about common room poets

common room poets started life in 2002 as five ‘public bar poets’, meeting mostly in a pub at Charing in Kent. We subsequently graduated to the common room in Keynes College at the University of Kent and grew to a group of seven.

Individuals’ poems been have published in magazines, anthologies and websites and we have given readings, collectively and independently, in venues in London and Kent. Our first anthology, Circled Like a Target, was published in 2004 and our latest collection, Mirror Writing, was launched in November 2009.
