Canterbury Tells

This month, the Canterbury Laureate Scheme’s bi-monthly showcase will be hosted by CornerStone Writers.

CornerStone members and founder, Gary Studley will lead proceedings with a selection of new pieces and old favorites, upstairs in the Function Room of the ever popular Jolly Sailor.

The evening is designed to appeal to everyone, as alongside this showcase, the event also includes an open invitation to all creators to dig out, write and perform pieces on the personal yet global themes of Land and Belonging.

So please, get writing on the prompts or fine-tune your hidden masterpieces, then bring them along to share with warm and supportive colleagues in an extended Open Mic.

Get writing and get together with the Canterbury Tells!

Sun 13th June, 6.30pm

The Jolly Sailor,

*NB: Unpublished poems read at the Open Mic are eligible for consideration
